Caring for Your Flowers

So you’ve received a gorgeous bouquet of blooms from Floral Alchemy - lucky you! Here are some tips to help you get the most out of your flowers.

If the flowers are delivered in a vase:

Simply top up the water daily, with fresh clean water from the tap. Place your blooms in a draught-free area, away from direct sunlight and other heat sources. Removing any wilted or dried blooms will extend the life of the other flowers.

If your flowers are delivered in gift-wrapping:

Ensure you cut the stems with a sharp pair of scissors or secateurs, and plunge immediately into fresh, clean water. You’ll want to trim around 1-2 cm off the ends, and cut on an angle if possible. Doing so increases the surface area of the ends of stems and allows them to hydrate more easily.

We generally recommend leaving on the twine that binds your bouquet together as this keeps the arrangement in place, however this can be removed if you would like to loosen the design. Fill your vessel to the top, ensuring all stems have water to drink - refresh daily, and enjoy!
